Brigade Group's most direct presence in Thiruvananthapuram sits inside the campus boundary of Technopark Phase I itself, in Kazhakkoottam. Brigade Square is a commercial office development by Brigade Group located in Technopark Phase-I, an INR 180 crore project taking shape on a one-acre plot that will offer 1.85 lakh square feet of IT built-up space. HealthEdge, a healthcare technology company serving more than 110 million covered lives across the United States, inaugurated its new campus at Brigade Square, Technopark. The campus spans approximately 162,000 square feet across 11 of Brigade Square's 12 floors, with seating capacity for approximately 1,500 employees — an early signal that the building is drawing the kind of global occupier Technopark has spent three decades trying to attract.
Brigade did not arrive in Trivandrum without a Kerala track record. Encouraged by the success of WTC Kochi, the company describes Thiruvananthapuram as Kerala's second WTC, with an overall plan to develop about 1.5 million square feet of premium office space including a business-class hotel. Brigade's development of WTC Kochi and the Four Points by Sheraton in the city is cited by the Group as evidence of its commitment to building Kerala's real estate landscape. That Kochi campus continues to expand in parallel: Brigade has also been planning to add another tower to the existing WTC in Infopark Kochi, taking its IT infrastructure to a total of one million square feet.
The scale of intent behind the Trivandrum push is stated in capital terms as well as square footage. Overall, Brigade plans to bring approximately Rs 1,500 crore of investment to Kerala in the coming years, and the WTC development is expected to generate employment opportunities, both direct and indirect, for over 10,000 people. The choice of campus is not incidental. Technopark was founded in July 1990 and dedicated to the nation in November 1995, and today spans 12.72 million square feet of built-up area, with over 490 companies employing more than 75,000 professionals — the description that makes it the country's largest IT park by developed area. Growth on campus has not slowed: Technopark has added over 21 lakh square feet of built-up space since 2021–22 and is targeting 40 million square feet by 2035. Brigade's Phase I buildings sit inside that expansion curve, on land within a park run by the Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of Kerala, rather than on a standalone private plot.
The wider urban setting is Kazhakkoottam, the locality that has grown around the campus. Kazhakkoottam is a major urban area in Thiruvananthapuram, home to the largest IT park in the country by developed area, alongside Technocity, an upcoming integrated IT township about six kilometres to its north. This puts Brigade's Technopark Phase I assets at the older, more established end of the corridor, immediately next to companies and infrastructure that have operated for close to three decades rather than in a greenfield extension still under construction.
Public transit into the campus is being upgraded around the same timeline as Brigade's construction. Kerala's Chief Minister approved the alignment for the first phase of the Thiruvananthapuram Light Metro, a route connecting all three phases of Technopark with the airport, the Thampanoor bus stand, the railway station, the Secretariat and Medical College Hospital. The 31-kilometre stretch runs from Pappanamcode through Kazhakkoottam and Technopark to the airport and Enchakkal, with 27 stations planned and interchange stations specifically at Kazhakkoottam, Technopark and Kariavattom.
