Brigade Group has completed an outright purchase of a 2-acre land parcel on Kanakapura Road in South Bengaluru, marking an expansion into one of the city's premium residential corridors. The company will develop a premium residential project with an estimated Gross Development Value of approximately Rs 400 crore.
Strategic Positioning in a Growing Corridor
Located on one of the city's most sought-after residential corridors, the project aims to offer contemporary homes that emphasize connectivity, wellness and long-term value for homebuyers. According to Amar Mysore, Executive Director of Brigade Enterprises Limited, Kanakapura Road has emerged as a key growth corridor in Bengaluru, driven by expanding infrastructure, improved connectivity and rising demand from homebuyers seeking a quality living environment. The acquisition aligns with the company's long-term residential strategy of deepening its presence in high-potential micro-markets and creating communities designed for the way people aspire to live.
Kanakapura Road's Infrastructure and Connectivity
Kanakapura Road in South Bangalore has emerged as one of the most sought-after residential corridors in the city. Over the past decade, this stretch has witnessed rapid infrastructure upgrades, new residential and commercial developments, and good connectivity to other parts of Bangalore.
The corridor benefits from multiple transport corridors. The road connects seamlessly to the NICE Peripheral Ring Road and NH 48, offering easy access to major areas of Bangalore including employment hubs such as Electronic City, Koramangala, Bannerghatta Road, and Jayanagar. The extension of the Namma Metro line on Kanakapura Road has further boosted its appeal.

In April 2026, the company signed a joint development agreement for an 8.63-acre land parcel in Gunjur to develop a 39-acre integrated residential township along the Whitefield–Sarjapur Road corridor, with an estimated gross development value of around Rs 7,200 crore.
