Brigade Group has added a 2-acre freehold parcel in Whitefield, East Bengaluru, to its land bank. The acquisition was completed on 3 August 2026, and the site is earmarked for a premium residential project with an estimated gross development value of ₹475 crore.
The purchase forms part of a busy summer of land deals for the Bengaluru developer. In July 2026, Brigade had announced a separate 2-acre site on Kanakapura Road, with an estimated gross development value of around ₹400 crore. The Whitefield parcel followed in August. The project is at the land and planning stage, with no construction under way, and its name, launch timing and sales details are expected to be announced in the coming months.
Key details of the Whitefield parcel
The site covers 2 acres of freehold land in Whitefield, one of the most established residential and office corridors in East Bengaluru. Brigade has described the project as premium housing, and the parcel is being planned as a residential development.

The 2-acre parcel is a separate project, and readers following its progress can track updates on the Brigade Whitefield 2 Acres page.
Location and connectivity
Whitefield grew around ITPL and the EPIP tech zone, and it remains one of the city's main employment hubs. The Purple Line metro runs from Whitefield to Challaghatta with 37 stations, and the Whitefield (Kadugodi) terminus has been operational since October 2023. Old Madras Road and the Outer Ring Road link the locality to the wider city, while Whitefield Main Road, Whitefield–Hoskote Road and Whitefield–Sarjapur Road serve the immediate neighbourhood. Kempegowda International Airport lies about 40 to 50 km away.
Within the same stretch, ITPL is about 3.9 km from Brigade Avalon and Channasandra Metro Station about 2.6 km, while Kadugodi Tree Park is roughly 2.7 km away.
Several projects are set to add to the network around the city. The first elevated section of Namma Metro's Pink Line, from Kalena Agrahara to Tavarekere, is expected to open in November 2026. The Blue Line between Silk Board and KIA Airport, with 30 stations, is opening in phases through 2026 and 2027. The Red Line's Sarjapur to Hebbal corridor is targeted for around 2031, and the upcoming Peripheral Ring Road is widely cited as a growth driver for Whitefield.
The locality's market has moved up steadily. ANAROCK puts the average new-launch base price in Whitefield at ₹10,850 per sq ft in Q2 2026, up from ₹4,780 per sq ft in Q3 2020 and about 9% higher over the past year. Gross rental yields work out to about 4%, and a 1,000 sq ft 2 BHK rents for ₹30,000 to ₹46,000 a month.
