Brigade Enters JDA for ₹1,000 Crore Premium Residential Project in West Chennai
Brigade Enterprises Limited has signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) for a prime 6.6-acre land parcel located in West Chennai. The agreement was signed on Monday, October 6, for a project with ₹1,000 crore GDV. The project will be developed by Brigade and will feature thoughtfully designed apartments, lifestyle amenities, and ESG-aligned infrastructure and is expected to be launched in 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.
Strategic Location and Connectivity
Strategically situated on a major arterial corridor, the site offers seamless connectivity to Chennai's industrial and peripheral business districts, making it ideal for an integrated, future-ready community. West Chennai, anchored by its proximity to the Sriperumbudur manufacturing belt, stands as the prime example of this transformation in the city's residential landscape.
The Chennai-Bengaluru Highway, the Outer Ring Road (ORR), and the upcoming Metro Phase 2 are drastically reducing commute times to core employment zones. Enhancement in MRTS connectivity, expansion of arterial roads, and connectivity to employment nodes in IT, manufacturing, and services sector continue to drive demand, with CREDAI Chennai noting that South and West Chennai remain the major residential corridors in 2026.
