A planned 14.7 km route from Killipalam runs through Technopark, Lulu Mall and Chacka to Kazhakoottam. It would add a second rapid transit link to the campus and the wider IT belt.
A 583 km Regional Rapid Transit System from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod received in-principle approval in January 2026. The Thiruvananthapuram to Thrissur section is targeted for completion by 2033.
